The Property Institute campaigns for regulation of the residential property management sector. In the absence of state regulation, The Property Institute members are bound to our code of conduct.
Not all property managers are members of The Property Institute. Our members stand apart by voluntarily committing themselves to our code and standards.
We are pleased to share important updates to TPI Consumer Charter & Standards, Edition 3, which came into effect on 1st January 2025. These updates have been introduced to improve clarity, compliance, and best practice across the sector.
Key adjustments include refinements to bank account terminology, the handover process, and the introduction of a voluntary Wellbeing Standard, alongside minor improvements to readability and formatting.
To maintain compliance with TPI Company Membership rules, please ensure you review the full breakdown of changes in Chapter 2, Annex B of the Programme Enhance consultation paper.
If you or your team require a copy of Edition 2 for comparison, please email [email protected]
Diversity, Equality and Inclusion are important, interdependent components of everyday life for The Property Institute. They are critical to our pursuit of achieving high standards of practice and professionalism for our employees, membership and beyond.
Our aim at The Property Institute is to foster a culture where every member, person and organisation that interacts and associates with the Institute feels valued, supported and inspired to achieve their individual and common goals.
We work within the spirit and the practice of the Equality Act 2010 by promoting a culture of respect and dignity and actively challenging unfair practices.
We believe that in creating inclusive environments where everyone, from any circumstances, can do their best work, we drive innovation and improve the lives of residents and communities we serve.
