TPI Update -  Andrew Bulmer, CEO.

Speaking Truth To Power: How TPI is engaging with Government - Jaclyn Mangaroo, CCO.

As an industry, we’re adept at navigating complex legislation and regulations. However, the scope and scale of new rules heading our way could transform our profession, our tenures and our businesses. This session will provide an overview of what to expect in the new regulatory landscape - from the Renters Rights Bill, the Building Safety (Wales) Bill and the Housing (Scotland) Bill, to the Remediation Bill and the draft Commonhold & Leasehold Reform Bill – and how TPI is positioned to engage with policymakers to influence proposals.

BUILDING SAFETY SESSIONS:

Black Elephants: Grenfell And Preventing The Next Disaster - Peter Apps, Journalist & Author

All the deaths in the Grenfell Tower fire were avoidable, but nobody acted in time to prevent them. Why not? This question should challenge everyone. Peter will explore the missed opportunities to stop the fire, what building managers can take from them, and why change remains crucial if we are to prevent another avoidable disaster.

Grenfell: Lessons from the Public Inquiry - Kate Lamble, Journalist

The story of Grenfell - how a fire in one of the richest parts of the country killed 72 people - goes far beyond the story of one building, or one community. It shows us how our country, our industries, and our attitude to safety works. And where it doesn’t. Kate will explore why the Inquiry came to the conclusion that every death that occurred on 14th June 2017 was avoidable.

BSR: Strengthening Safety Through Competence - Sandra Ashcroft, HSE

Explore how the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) is enacting regulatory reforms and improving safety standards. Understand BSRs efforts in promoting the improvement of competence across the built environment. Discover the vital role of clients in appointing competent workers to ensure resident safety.

Why Procurement Skills Are Non-Negotiable - Mark Snelling, SafetyMark

What is procurement and why it is important. This unmissable session will look at  what good looks like and the competencies a property manager needs to procure effectively, and the potential penalties for getting it wrong.
