In one of the most significant changes to how your firm interacts with its professional body in a generation, The Property Institute (TPI) is reviewing its audit and review processes for member firms and actively seeking input from member firms.
Collectively referred to as 'Programme Enhance', we consulted from April to June 2024 on proposed changes to member firm audits, new questions on ethics for the 2025 annual renewal, and voluntary enhancements concerning wellbeing and a building safety self-evaluation scheme. You can find the outcome of the previous ‘Programme Enhance’ consultation here
We are now inviting member firms to share their views on two additional changes related to TPI’s Consumer Charter and Standards, as well as a proposed Customer Feedback Tool. For full details and how to share your firm's views, please refer to the consultation paper available at the top of the page, with a short summary also available to the right of the page for ease.
The Property Institute acknowledges the importance of establishing relevant and appropriate standards for its member firms, enabling them to demonstrate compliance with all applicable legislation and standards. Several interrelated changes have been identified to ensure that TPI’s member firms remain robust and relevant throughout the second half of the current decade, while also ensuring that The Property Institute continues to raise and uphold standards in an appropriate and proportionate manner.
Have Your Say
We greatly value input from our member firms on Programme Enhance. Throughout October 2024, The Property Institute invites comments from each Member Firm and Associate Firm regarding the latest proposed changes. Feedback received will help shape the finalisation of these changes, which are intended to be implemented from January 2025.
We encourage each Member Firm to submit one response, preferably through the online survey at the bottom of the page. Alternatively, there is an option to submit a response offline using a downloadable Word document . Manual responses should be emailed to [email protected] or posted to The Property Institute, 3rd Floor, 2-4 St George's Road, London, SW19 4DP.
The deadline for submitting all responses, whether via the online survey or manual form, is 23:59 on Monday, 28 October 2024. Responses received after this deadline will not be considered unless prior written agreement from The Property Institute has been obtained.
