The British Property Federation’s retiring Director of Policy, Ian Fletcher, is joining The Property Institute (TPI) on a part-time basis, as the TPI’s Senior Policy & Enterprise Adviser.

Ian retires at the end of March, having served the BPF for 23 years, and joins TPI in April. He is a Fellow of  TPI.

Andrew Bulmer, Chief Executive of The Property Institute, said:

“We are always looking to make appointments that will strengthen our team at TPI. Ian has long supported TPI in its work in the Build to Rent sector, for example supporting the TPI BTR Ofqual-accredited qualification, still leading the profession. A champion of mandatory qualifications and regulation of property agents, his calm demeanour, experience, and knowledge will be a tremendous asset to the Institute at a time when Government is contemplating the most effective form of regulation. Ian could not be joining the TPI at a more important time.”

Ian Fletcher, retiring Director of Policy at BPF, said:

“The interface with the sector’s customers is the most important in property. I am therefore excited and honoured to be joining TPI. I have much-admired the Institute’s work for many years in seeking to bolster education, raise professionalism, and improve standards in the property management sector. I am joining an exceptional team, which I hope to support their important work in areas such as building safety, and qualifications in the Build-to-Rent sector, a particular passion of mine.”
