TPI is excited to launch our new Level 2 Foundation Course and Exam in Retirement Housing Management. Developed in accordance with the ARHM Code of Practice, this course is designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of on-site staff and retirement housing managers.

Course Overview

Our Level 2 Foundation Course has been introduced to support professionals in understanding the fundamentals of retirement housing management. The course covers both technical and legal aspects of the role, as well as essential areas such as customer service, health and safety, and ethical practices.

Course Modules

  • Unit 1 – An introduction to leasehold property management for on-site staff
  • Unit 2 – An introduction to the leasehold legal framework for on-site staff
  • Unit 3 – An introduction to health & safety in leasehold property management 
  • Unit 4 – An introduction to customer and consumer in leasehold property management
  • Unit 5 – An introduction to ethics and behaviours in leasehold property management
  • Unit 6 – An introduction to retirement housing management

Progression and Assessment

Learners can progress through the modules sequentially, building their knowledge and skills with each step. Upon completion of all modules, candidates can sit for the final exam, which consists of 60 multiple choice questions. The exam is available online, on demand, with a pass mark of 70% (42 out of 60 correct answers).

Key Dates and Pricing

The Level 2 Foundation Course will be available starting from September 2024. The course and exam, accessible for 12 months, are priced at £249. However, we are offering an early bird price of £149 for the first two months.
